My name is Vicki and I am a Stitchaholic!

thats probably all anyone needs to know , right? but in case you want a little more background here it is....

I am 53 years old , married to dh Dan nearly 30 years and have 3 grown sons and as a reward for raising 3 boys , I now have 2 baby granddaughters, with another one due in August 2008!! My oldest son Andrew is 29 and working on a Bsc degree in math and physics at UBC in Vancouver. I am thinking he will be a lifelong student as he's planning to get his masters and Doctorate as well ???? Middle ds Jordan 26 is an electronics technician in Grande Prairie ,Alberta. He and his wife Kassia have a one year old daughter named Daphne. My youngest son Patrick is 22 and halfway thru year 3 of a 4 year engineering degree at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario. He and his wife Rejeana have a 11 month old daughter named Venessa.

I am a huge dog lover , yet have a cat! go figure! Her name is Roxy and she is a fat cat, weighing in at 16 pounds. I know there are a lot of bigger cats out there but trust me she is packing too many pounds and is now on prescription diet food! so we will see how that works , the lite cat food did not do much for her waistline!

I work part time as a shipper receiver at my husbands (and partners) electronics wholesale company , its a good job but it does cut into stitching time.

I used to be a big knitter but have a thing like carpal tunnel only it affects my thumbs and is very painful to hold knitting needles, but luckily about 4 years before this happened I had taken up cross stitching.
I would say and I think everyone who knows me well would agree , cross stitching is an obsession with me . Well look who I'm telling, If you're reading this you may have it too! I also do a bit of scrapbooking, sewing and quilting.

I like a wide variety of cross stitch designers , everything from samplers to flowers, animals to scenery!
Been stitching these days on a 6 project rotation with a small project for mondays and thursdays .
